Sparky
I adopted “Indie” from Mostly Mutts a little over a year-and-a-half ago. I changed his name to “Sparky” because he is one live-wire spark plug. He had, and still has, some issues with fear, such as with loud noises and thunder. It took him almost a year to trust me enough to come to me without my asking him to cuddle. Finally, he came and laid his head on my foot after about a year. Now he loves to cuddle, and, instead of growling at visitors, he welcomes them with squeals and rolls on his back for belly rubs.
They say when a dog lies on his back, he has no fear of his surroundings and is at perfect peace. Sparky loves his sofa, as you can see.
