All of the information about the dogs is current. The website is updated weekly with new information and with new dogs when they become available for adoption. There are some dogs at the shelter that are not on the website yet because they have not been spayed or neutered or have had shots, so are not yet available. All of the Mutts ages are current as of January 2022 unless otherwise specified in their description. Click on the thumbnail for a larger photo. If you are looking for a specific kind of dog that isn’t shown, please call Cheryl @ 570-988 -6483. She gets many phone calls a day about dogs that need a home. We may be able to help you find a dog that way. Any of these dogs may also be sponsored. To sponsor a dog, please visit the Forms page and fill out a Sponsorship form.
Addam would be a very loyal dog, because he stays close to whoever he is with. He is housebroken, walks nicely on a leash, knows the sit command and seems okay with female dogs. Addam is a young dog with lots of energy, but will settle down when he is getting attention. He does not care for car rides.
Baylor is a great older, happy dog. He gets along with most other dogs and enjoys going for walks. Baylor is a true beagle with his nose to the ground, sniffing and snorting when on a walk. He also has a slight stubborn streak when he is on a scent and wants to go his own direction. Baylor is housebroken.

Bucky is a little old man with a very sweet disposition who loves people and going for walks. He came back to MM when his owner passed away. He is partially blind and deaf, but still gets around fine in spite of these issues and his age. He is housebroken with an occasional accident. Bucky is okay with other dogs, but would prefer a quiet, loving home with less active animals. Bucky is sponsored by Steve Hines and also by Fred & Rita Klock.
Burl is a true beagle, nose to the ground while going for a walk. He walks on a leash and is housebroken. He enjoys spending time outside so a fenced in yard is recommended, as his nose may get him in trouble. Burl doesn’t care for other dogs in his space, so being an only dog may be best. Burl is sponsored by Melissa Crable.
Celeste loves to snuggle and is also very playful. Her siblings are Zephyr, Widget, and Brianne. She will need some work with housebreaking and walking on a leash. She does not care for car rides. Born 7/24/20.

Gringo is a big, strong boy and is full of energy. His size can be a little intimidating, especially with small children. He seems to get along with most other dogs and is housebroken. He definitely needs work with walking on a leash and would benefit from obedience training. Gringo does not share food or like other dogs near his dish.
Hector is very energetic and likes lots of attention. He does not care for most other dogs. Hector walks well on a leash, is housebroken and is crate trained. A home without small children would be best.
Houston is a cute little guy looking for a playful home. He loves going for walks, playing with toys, being held, and is good with other dogs. Houston is housebroken. Houston was born on 10/26/20.
JakeD is such a handsome boy and you can’t help noticing that Jake has 2 beautifully colored different eyes. He was nicknamed “Jake from State Farm”. Jake was previously always on a chain so he will need basic obedience training, learning to come when called, etc. and socialization with people. He is strong and will also need training with walking on a leash. Jake loves his squeaky toys, is good in the car and is housebroken. Strongly recommend a fenced in yard.

Todd is a handsome boy with lots of energy. He loves to play ball and knows basic commands. Todd is extremely friendly with people he knows and gives hugs. He is good with most other dogs, housebroken and learning to walk on a leash. Some days however he will not even let volunteers hook him up on a leash so a fenced in yard may be best for now because of the leash issue. But he will need to be comfortable on a leash at some point due to the necessity of vet visits, emergency situations, etc. So he will need someone willing and patient to work with him on a leash. This may involve numerous visits to the shelter after going thru our adoption process and being approved. Todd is sponsored by Diane Serafin “In Memory Of Bro-Bro”.
