All of the information about the dogs is current. The website is updated weekly with new information and with new dogs when they become available for adoption. There are some dogs at the shelter that are not on the website yet because they have not been spayed or neutered or have had shots, so are not yet available. All of the Mutts ages are current as of January 2020 unless otherwise specified in their description. Click on the thumbnail for a larger photo. If you are looking for a specific kind of dog that isn’t shown, please call Cheryl @ 570-988 -6483. She gets many phone calls a day about dogs that need a home. We may be able to help you find a dog that way. If you are interested in adopting one of our dogs, please read our Adoption Process on the Forms page, and then fill out & send us the Adoption Application on the Forms page. Any of these dogs may also be sponsored. To sponsor a dog, please visit the Forms page and fill out a Sponsorship form.
Addam would be a very loyal dog, because he stays close to whoever he is with. He is housebroken, walks nicely on a leash, knows the sit command and seems okay with other dogs. Addam is a young dog with lots of energy, but will settle down when he is getting attention. He does not care for car rides. He is okay with female dogs.

Blake is young and has lots of energy. He is very friendly with people and is good with most other dogs. Blake does like all the attention though, so may be best as an only dog. He walks well on a leash and is housebroken. Blake does not do well with cats.
Boomer has a great personality, is very friendly with people and other dogs, and is housebroken. Boomer is a “tripawd” or 3 legged dog. He was hit by a vehicle before coming to Mostly Mutts and due to the extent of his injury his back leg was not able to be saved. Having 3 legs does not stop him, he is FULL of energy. He can walk on a leash as long as he has enough line to balance. But a fenced in yard is preferred to make it easier for him. Due to his energy level, being so strong, and lack of manners we would not recommend a home with small children. Would definitely benefit from obedience training.

Burl is a true beagle, nose to the ground while going for a walk. He walks on a leash and is housebroken. He enjoys spending time outside so a fenced in yard is recommended, as his nose may get him in trouble. Burl doesn’t care for other dogs in his space, so being an only dog may be best.

Henny came to MM with a pinched nerve in his back and did not have the use of his back legs for 6 months. With medication and treatment he has regained a great percentage of the use of his back legs and gets around well. Henny needs a forever home with no children, a relaxed atmosphere, and probably best as the only dog.
Hobbes has a great personality and is very friendly. He gets along especially well with other dogs. Hobbes is a “tripawd” or 3 legged dog. He was born with a birth defect and had to have a back leg removed. He has lots of energy and gets around just fine on three legs especially when he can be off leash in a fenced in area. He is good with most other dogs, housebroken and learning to walk on a leash. Some days however he will not even let volunteers hook him up on a leash so a fenced in yard may be best for now because of the leash issue.
