Blitzen is so cuddly. Such a blessing. We can’t imagine how no one adopted this loving, gentle dog. But we feel so lucky that we were the ones who got him. Literally every day, at some point, one of us will say to him, “How did no one scoop you up and take you home?” What a treasure!

Blitzen loves to be petted. If he’s being petted by one of us and we stop, he goes to the other. This can go on for quite awhile. If we pay attention to Sheila, he immediately nudges his way in to be next in line. He doesn’t act jealous. He just wants to be next.

As for expressing his love of petting, he initially would do this quiet exhale sound. Since then, it’s gotten louder and louder. And if we rub near his ears, it’s a full blown moan. He really loves his lovin’.

He also loves being brushed. As soon as I pick up the brush, he comes over to me and puts his head down to be brushed.

He is so adorable!

Thank you so very much for introducing us to this wonderful, lovable gentle soul!
