Last November 2020, I just knew the time had come for a four-legged companion. Five years prior, we (mom and me) lost a 3-year-old German Shorthair and a week later our almost 15-year-old Golden Retriever. So I wished for a November birthday present and soon discovered the cost of breeders and even SPCA dogs. Until I saw a Facebook post for Mostly Mutts. The day after Christmas, I held Jazmin, 5-years-old, in my arms and fell instantly in love.

Jazi has gotten over her anxiety of walking in town and has become an avid hiker with legging it up to 8 miles. She tears right through little streams of water. She goes shopping with me inside our little hippie bag hanging from my shoulder and usually goes undetected.

As for snuggles — she loves everyone but is very reserved until she feels safe. Her all time favorite place is under a pile of pillows in my bed with the heated mattress pad on. Jazi has filled my heart, and those of so many others, with love and I am truly blessed for this little dog. I look at her and hope she never feels cold, fear or hunger. I want to give her the best life.
