Nanook

Bio:

Nanook was adopted nearly 7 years ago.  She was estimated to be about 6 or 7 months old at the time,  She was very “people” shy.  In fact, at one point, they thought she had been a feral pup, but later determined that she was more likely just not treated very nicely.  Nanook was a tough cookie and took some working with.  We traveled to spend time with her every other day for 2 weeks before bringing her home.  It was definitely a process but she has come a LONG way!  She even lets us dress her up now!!!  She still has some quirky habits, but is the absolute best dog.  We are so thankful for finding MM and for owner Cheryl and all of the amazing volunteers there!

FINDING FUREVER HOMES

All of the information about the dogs is current. The website is updated weekly with new information and with new dogs when they become available for adoption. There are additional dogs at the shelter that are not on the website yet because they still need to be spayed/neutered and receive their vaccinations. All of the Mutts’ ages are current as of January 2024 unless otherwise specified in their description.

If you are looking for a specific kind of dog that isn’t shown, please call Cheryl at 570-988 -6483. She gets many phone calls a day about dogs that need homes, so we may be able to help you find the dog you’re looking for. If you are interested in adopting one of our dogs, please read our Adoption Process on the Forms page, then fill out the Adoption Application. Any of these dogs may also be sponsored. To sponsor a dog, please visit the Forms page and fill out a Sponsorship form.

A Little extra TlC

Some of our canine residents have sadly lived all or most of their lives at Mostly Mutts. They may be older or have special needs, and are loved by the volunteers, but they still deserve a chance at a loving forever family. Please consider adopting or sponsoring one of these deserving dogs. Your sponsorship helps keep our older and special needs dogs healthy and comfortable.
