Izzy

Bio:

Saturday the 27th of February was our little girl Izzy’s 4th birthday.  She has been with us since she was 11 months old.  We celebrated with a trip to Petco to pick out a couple of toys and baking some homemade biscuits.  She is an absolute joy.  Here is a photo of her napping with Tina, one of the tiny abandoned kittens that she discovered on a walk.  Of course Tina and her brother Rod came home with Izzy and now live here with her.  Although no longer kittens, as such, they both still enjoy curling up with Izzy on the sofa as though she is their mother.

She loves walks, kids and snow drifts this winter.  We never let her off leash but she is pretty good at finding an occasional neighborhood bunny that we have to chase for a short distance also.

Attached is a photo of Izzy and Tina catching a “cat nap” this winter.

FINDING FUREVER HOMES

All of the information about the dogs is current. The website is updated weekly with new information and with new dogs when they become available for adoption. There are additional dogs at the shelter that are not on the website yet because they still need to be spayed/neutered and receive their vaccinations. All of the Mutts’ ages are current as of January 2024 unless otherwise specified in their description.

If you are looking for a specific kind of dog that isn’t shown, please call Cheryl at 570-988 -6483. She gets many phone calls a day about dogs that need homes, so we may be able to help you find the dog you’re looking for. If you are interested in adopting one of our dogs, please read our Adoption Process on the Forms page, then fill out the Adoption Application. Any of these dogs may also be sponsored. To sponsor a dog, please visit the Forms page and fill out a Sponsorship form.

A Little extra TlC

Some of our canine residents have sadly lived all or most of their lives at Mostly Mutts. They may be older or have special needs, and are loved by the volunteers, but they still deserve a chance at a loving forever family. Please consider adopting or sponsoring one of these deserving dogs. Your sponsorship helps keep our older and special needs dogs healthy and comfortable.
