I wish all adoption stories could have the amazing outcome we did with our boy Astro! From day one in December 2018, he settled in like he had always lived here. While it may have taken his new housemate/fur sister a little bit longer to accept she had to share the bed, it didn’t taken them long to miss each other when separated (although sharing the bed at night is still an ordeal, ha, ha).

The newspaper posting said “Astro loves to play with toys” and that couldn’t have been any closer to the truth! Astro is obsessed with his toys and loves ALL of them! He is a constant source of energy and entertainment. The memories that he has created will always be cherished.

Astro, there isn’t a day we regret bringing you into our home and we are so glad that you accepted us as your furever people.

FINDING FUREVER HOMES

All of the information about the dogs is current. The website is updated weekly with new information and with new dogs when they become available for adoption. There are additional dogs at the shelter that are not on the website yet because they still need to be spayed/neutered and receive their vaccinations. All of the Mutts’ ages are current as of January 2024 unless otherwise specified in their description.

If you are looking for a specific kind of dog that isn’t shown, please call Cheryl at 570-988 -6483. She gets many phone calls a day about dogs that need homes, so we may be able to help you find the dog you’re looking for. If you are interested in adopting one of our dogs, please read our Adoption Process on the Forms page, then fill out the Adoption Application. Any of these dogs may also be sponsored. A Little extra TlC

Some of our canine residents have sadly lived all or most of their lives at Mostly Mutts. They may be older or have special needs, and are loved by the volunteers, but they still deserve a chance at a loving forever family. Please consider adopting or sponsoring one of these deserving dogs. Your sponsorship helps keep our older and special needs dogs healthy and comfortable.
