Dottie

Bio:

Back in January of 2013, Mostly Mutts was kind enough to take in the Mt. Carmel Tornado 9 puppies and their mom…you’re probably wondering what this has to do with Dottie. My friend Annie Hook Swartz, told me to check the puppies out on MM website. I’m not sure that I ever saw the puppies photo’s because as soon as I saw Dottie I knew she had to join my family. I guess it was love at first sight. When my friends went to MM to visit the Tornado 9, I finally got to meet Dottie in person. She has been a joy to not only me but also her siblings. She quickly became Molly’s (Rottie) best friend. She has always been a very affectionate girl.

The first photo, with Molly and Dottie is from 2013 when Dottie moved in. The second one, relaxing after a long day of playing, is from this past year.

FINDING FUREVER HOMES

All of the information about the dogs is current. The website is updated weekly with new information and with new dogs when they become available for adoption. There are additional dogs at the shelter that are not on the website yet because they still need to be spayed/neutered and receive their vaccinations. All of the Mutts’ ages are current as of January 2024 unless otherwise specified in their description.

If you are looking for a specific kind of dog that isn’t shown, please call Cheryl at 570-988 -6483. She gets many phone calls a day about dogs that need homes, so we may be able to help you find the dog you’re looking for. If you are interested in adopting one of our dogs, please read our Adoption Process on the Forms page, then fill out the Adoption Application. Any of these dogs may also be sponsored. To sponsor a dog, please visit the Forms page and fill out a Sponsorship form.

A Little extra TlC

Some of our canine residents have sadly lived all or most of their lives at Mostly Mutts. They may be older or have special needs, and are loved by the volunteers, but they still deserve a chance at a loving forever family. Please consider adopting or sponsoring one of these deserving dogs. Your sponsorship helps keep our older and special needs dogs healthy and comfortable.
