Bio:

Butch is a handsome boy with a unique personality. He likes most people and loves car rides. He does have some neurological issues that cause problems with his legs. But he is able to get around fairly well. Walking him on a leash does take some talent as he is very wiggly. He does not do well with other dogs. Toys are limited for Butch since he has a tendency to chew them up and swallow them to the point of having needed surgery. Due to his neurological issues he is not able to be neutered. Butch also has a condition called megaesophagus. He gets fed 3 times a day because he cant eat alot at one time. Butch eats water soaked Purina Puppy Chow and Royal Canin Gastrointestinal canned food. He takes Sucralfate for his stomach and GI issues. Butch was sponsored by Heidi Walnock. Butch passed away on 8/5/2026.

All of the information about the dogs is current. The website is updated weekly with new information and with new dogs when they become available for adoption. There are additional dogs at the shelter that are not on the website yet because they still need to be spayed/neutered and receive their vaccinations. All of the Mutts’ ages are current as of January 2025 unless otherwise specified in their description.

She gets many phone calls a day about dogs that need homes, so we may be able to help you find the dog you’re looking for. A Little extra TlC

Some of our canine residents have sadly lived all or most of their lives at Mostly Mutts. They may be older or have special needs, and are loved by the volunteers, but they still deserve a chance at a loving forever family. Please consider adopting or sponsoring one of these deserving dogs. Your sponsorship helps keep our older and special needs dogs healthy and comfortable.
