No dog should need to be rescued twice…Mostly Mutts of Sunbury, PA

On Feb. 18 2017 both my husband and I adopted Luckie the 15 year old Jack Russell mix. We looked at her picture on the internet for over 2 years, but the loss of Sweetpea, our other little girl Jack Russell was so great we thought we’d never recover. All of Luckie’s kisses we called magical kisses because slowly all the darkness of our loss faded and was replaced with smiles and laughter. She definitely rescued us. We love and adore her so much. She is very spoiled and took our place over. We now have 4 dogs and she bosses them around. My biggest lesson is you never replace your loss but please try to open your heart to another, because so many shelter pets are looking for good loving homes and every pet deserves a chance for love and happiness. I like to think now that Sweetpea is looking down from Heaven and saying way to go.

Love Always, Mike and Melanie Renner

Luckie was in the shelter since October 2014. Adopted twice before -but she’s definitely now in her forever home.
